Weta are a native NZ insect.
They have six spiky legs and their bodies grow up to 7.5 cms long. They weigh up to 3.5 grams. They have curved tusks.
Their habitat is in the bush in trees, in caves, in logs and even in gardens.
They breed at night and they can lay up to 100 eggs.
They eat leaves, lichens, flowers, seed heads and fruit.
These insects are dangerous or that is what I think.
